We are a local, privately owned dog walking company servicing Old Town Alexandria, Belle Haven and the Fort Hunt area. We provide dog walking which can be tailored to you and your dogs needs. Our Dogs Nanny, LLC. and our employees are fully insured and bonded, and our "nannies" have had full background checks.
"It takes a village to raise a dog, and we are your village."
The mid-day walk is a great way to break up your dog's day. To be able to get outside, not only to go to the bathroom, but to stretch his/her legs and catch up on the “local news” is good for their doggie minds. During the "meet and greet", needs can be discussed and the walker can discuss any solutions. It also gives your dog and their walker a chance to get to know each other, giving both your dog and you peace of mind. Services are set at competitive prices; please contact Jill for more information. Other services are available upon request.

"My 'Mom' is typing this for me because I do not have thumbs, and typing is hard for me. As you have probably guessed, I love you lots. You take me to the park and walk me and even train me so I am a good doggie. Actually you have had great success with me, what with working in the hospital, going to obedience trials and winning, and playing nicely with all my friends. Mom is really happy I have you! I know it is not easy because I am a PWD, very popular and extremely handsome, but you are able to handle me and do so expertly. So if any other dog is considering using you for walks or "baby" sitting, all I can say is they would be lucky to have you. I know I am." --Zeke Guarraia
Our Dogs Nanny has been responsible for the walks of many of Alexandria’s finest canines since 2001. Jill started walking dogs as a sole proprietor with as many as ten walks a day and numerous trips to the dog park. Several years later, she branched out and hired her first employee, expanding to the current number of walkers. With her extensive veterinary medicine background and dog training, she is able to bring substantial experience to the care of your dog and shares that expertise with her walkers.
ODN walkers “meet and greet” with the client to learn what the clients, and their dogs, needs are. Once details have been finalized, the dog is added to the walkers schedule which shows up on the portal on the walkers phone. An email is sent after every visit with an update on their dog and the walk/visit. Water is refreshed and packages bought in, if necessary!

"Thank you very much for watching over us while our mom is at work! We especially enjoy our daily trip to the doggie park where we connect with all of our friends. Mom thinks that this exercise has helped our social skills tremendously - we just think that it's a lot of fun! Thanks again for keeping us safe and happy!" --Milo and Millie
I have a very shy dog and Jillian took the time to meet our dog and pair her up with a wonderful dog walker who took time to get to know Gus and let our dog get comfortable with her. It was incredible to see our shy, timid dog, who has run from other walkers, joyfully greet her dog walker and be excited for the outing. Jillian hires caring professionals and is always interested in how satisfied we are with the services. I also appreciate her use of technology with the efficient billing system and daily dog walk updates sent to my email. I would highly recommend Our Dog's Nanny. --"Gussies" Mom
